Service Description

Soft washing is an in-depth cleaning method to remove moss and revitalize the roof’s health and appearance by cleaning away dirt, stains and other organic build-up such as mold, algae, & lichen. Soft washing is the least invasive method to clean a roof, and is the recommended cleaning method of the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturer's Association, or ARMA. The Soft Wash Service utilizes our low-pressure pump system to apply a cleaning agent that thoroughly treats all of the moss over the roof. The solution (diluted sodium hypochlorite + surfactant blend) cleans the entire roof and actively prevents new moss growth, generally for up to 2 years. The soft wash solution is collected at the downspouts upon application and hauled away for proper disposal. Collection and proper disposal of the wastewater is a requirement of the Washington State Dept of Ecology. Once exposed to the cleaning agent, it may take several months for affected moss deposits to fall from the roof due to the elements. Any dark stains on the roof (algae growth) will be completely removed by the service. We will first blow all roof areas to clear away the loose debris deposits and prep the downspouts to collect the solution, and then apply the soft wash. While applying the soft wash, we have a dedicated person on the ground running a rinse hose to ensure all plants/items around the home are protected from any off-spray. The soft wash solution is rinsed after being allowed to dwell for a period of time.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations, please provide at least 24 hours notice to avoid a service/rescheduling fee of $25.00. Your Booking Price is an estimate to perform services. An official Service Offer will be given once we are able to assess your home.
